Materials storage inspections

The checklist is divided into three areas 1) Material Storage and Handling, 2) Production Processes and 3) Treatment Alternatives. Material degradation, samples, spills, storage, and inspections are addressed in the first section. Production processes include source reduction for process bath solutions and rinse systems, resource recovery and recycling, and solvent management. Treatment Alternatives focuses on process water pretreatment, modification of conventional wastewater treatment, and alternative waste treatment methods. Each of these subsections follow the question and answer format. [Pg.185]

Medical assessment and provision of safety in technology is put into practice, first and foremost, by specialists in the independent appraisal of design materials and in building and restoration of different plants and installations (for instance, MOX-fuel production, fissile material storage). In this case, the ultimate decision on design feasibility is made by the RF State Sanitary Inspection Service. [Pg.24]

Processing in-line A complete febricating, production, or fabricating operation can go from material storage and handling, to produce the part that includes upstream and downstream auxiliary equipment, through inspection and quality control, to packaging, and delivery to destination such as warehouse bins or transportation vehicles. [Pg.532]

The nature of the real surface depends on its formation, handling, and storage history. In order to have reproducible film properties, the substrate surface must be reproducible. This reproducibility is attained by careful specification of the substrate material, incoming inspection procedures, surface preparation, and appropriate handling and storage of the material. [Pg.334]

The principal equipment for the ultrasonic examination is the P-scan system, PS-4, which is a computerised ultrasonic system, developed by FORCE Institute, for automatic, mechanical and manual ultrasonic examination of welds and materials. The system has documentation and storage facilities for all data related to each inspection operation, and includes visualisation of the inspection results in the form of images of the material volume examined. [Pg.872]

Materials—which include chemicals, process equipment, transport containers, protective equipment, and replacement parts—need to conform to quality (ESH/PSM) standards and specifications before being placed in use. Different materials will need varying levels of test and/or inspection as well as controls on their storage and handling. [Pg.163]

Has the integrity of raw material, process, and waste storage areas been checked on a regular basis, for example, ground quality monitoring, inspection of tanks, containers, bunds, and so on Provide details and records. Identify the risk category. [Pg.14]

The purpose of the architectural standard details is for use in the design and construction of facilities used in the manufacture, maintenance, inspection, and storage of explosive materials. To this end two objectives were sought. The requirements for this program were to develop standard details for various methods of construction utilized in Army ammunition plants today and to develop details... [Pg.69]

Also, the facilities and sampling equipment should be sufficient to prevent cross contamination by other materials, products, and general environmental contaminates. Where possible, the sampling should be done in a quarantined area separate from other materials, especially, those that have already passed inspection. For rejected materials, procedures and facilities, i.e., storage space, to handle these materials should be in place. [Pg.401]
