Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopic Imaging MRSI

This review might at first seem quite distant for clinical researchers and practitioners, including especially oncologists. However, with a second look coupled with reflection about the actual barriers to reliable applications of MRS and magnetic resonance spectroscopic imaging (MRSI) for early cancer diagnostics, a different perspective can emerge. 

A magnetic resonance spectroscopic imaging (MRSI) pulse sequence based on proton-echo-planar-spectroscopic-imaging (PEPSI) is introduced." Single-shot MRSI at short TE was evaluated in phantoms and in vivo on a 3-T whole-body scanner equipped with a 12-channel array coil. This MRSI method is suitable for applications that require high temporal resolution to monitor temporal dynamics or to reduce sensitivity to tissue movement. 

Her present research interests are focused onto the design, synthesis of new lanthanide complexes as contrast agents for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), as well as the development of a novel series of pH and p02 indicators for 111 NMR spectroscopic imaging ( II-MRSI). More recently, she has been involved in synthesis and evaluation of nanostructurated contrast agents.
