Machine specific components assembly

In order to identify the production processes required to produce a particular product you need a production requirement in the form of product specifications which define the features and characteristics of the product that are to be achieved. By studying these specifications you will be able to identify the processes required to turn raw materials and bought-out components into a finished product. With manufactured products the processes may include machining, welding, fabrication, assembly, forming, plating, painting, heat treatment, etc. [Pg.347]

Fabrication certification Once the certified material is obtained, the next step is fabrication where industrial processes such as machining, welding, and assembly are used to construct components, systems, and ships. OQE is used to document the industrial processes. Separately, and prior to actual fabrication of the final product, the facility performing the work is certified in the industrial processes necessary to perform the work. An example is a specific... [Pg.453]

What type of equipment is needed in the pharmacy or preparation facility depends on the type of products to be prepared or manufactured, the required production capacity and the batch size. The choice of apparatus discussed in this chapter is arbitrary. Larger apparatus and installations such as large stainless steel autoclavable mixing tanks are intentionally not discussed, neither are infusion fluid production lines, filling lines for injection vials, syringes and ampoule machines. Larger machines usually consist of many components assembled on client specifications, resulting in many variations. [Pg.610]

Component Packaging Formats. Odd-form components come in a variety of sizes, geometries, and I/O configurations that determine the ease with which the component can be automated into the assembly process line. Another important variable is the component placement machine. Typical component packaging formats for the placement machine include tape and reel (radial and axial leaded), extruded tube, tray, continuous strip, and bulk containers. Each of these formats has benefits and drawbacks, as noted in the following subsections. Industry specifications have standardized nearly all of these packaging schemes. For example, there is EIA-468-B for radial deviees and EIA-296-E for axial components. [Pg.947]

SOPs must be developed for label accountability with specific tolerances spelled out. Provision must be made for label security, such as locked cabinets on operating lines. Accountability sheets for other components should be provided so that reconciliation between used and finished packages can be developed. If possible, a cleaning area and shop should be set up for the cleaning of filters and parts and the disassembly and assembly of filling machines. [Pg.822]

Analyze in detail. Identify limits (constraints, restrictions). Include variability in components and users. Meike machine adjust to person, not converse. Obteun specifications of components and assembly. Obtiun skills aveulability of people obteun capability/aveulability of equipment. Get restrictions in fabrication and assembly techniques and sequence. Obtain more details on cost accounting, scheduling, emd tradeoffs of criteria. [Pg.1388]

The DATATRAN application language processor operates within the SCOPE operating system on the CDC 6600 and 7600 machines. It consists of six major components, each designed to perform a specific data management or executive system function all are written primarily in FORTRAN, but rely on assembly language routines for character manipulation and efficient input-output operations. The components and their associated system functions are the precompiler which scans each statement in the DATA-TRAN input stream and translates it, if necessary, into an acceptable FORTRAN statement the interpreter which contains the run-time routines to execute the DATATRAN statements, creates and maintains the system s... [Pg.301]

The task of inspection is the detectirMi of quality features of a measured object A measurement object can be a manufactured workpiece, a standalone product, a component of a more complex assembly, an interchangeable part such as a tool, a complete system such as a machine or a measuring device. The term inspection is closely related with the concept of the testing of products. As a matter of fact inspection represents the assessment of whether a characteristic of an object corresponds with the required specifications. [Pg.708]

A Mine Hoist is classified as a machine, covered by the machinery (machine) definition assembly, fitted with or intended to be fitted with a drive system consisting of linked parts or components, at least one of which moves, and which are joined together for a specific application (ISO 12100 2010). [Pg.245]

Self-assembly refers to the molecules that form a class of clear and relatively stable structure by noncovalent interactions (such as hydrogen bonding, hydrophobic effects, etc.) and has some specific features of molecular aggregates or supramolecular structure. Molecular devices and machines and assemblies of molecular components designed to achieve a specific function continue to be a hot topic of research in the area of supramolecular chemistry. [Pg.3744]
