The optimized drug product may be viewed as a drug-delivery system for the one or more drugs that it contains. In summary, it can be said that there is less oxidation and isomerisation observed for C02-extraction compared to steam distillation, which is an important quality feature for C02-extracted essential oils even if this refers only to trace components in these oils. 

The effects of the launch of such products may be controversial, on one side it may be beneficial since it widens the choice opportunities of consumers, on the other side it may increase the confusion and uncertainty about quality features of the different low input products offered, discouraging the consumers to buy both organic and other higher quality food. 

The control quality parameters are always defined by the customer and they become then an integral part of the design. Already in the course of the control system development, definitions of the control system quality features are mutually agreed upon, including the methods and conditions under which the required quality is to be achieved.

The task of inspection is the detectirMi of quality features of a measured object A measurement object can be a manufactured workpiece, a standalone product, a component of a more complex assembly, an interchangeable part such as a tool, a complete system such as a machine or a measuring device. The term inspection is closely related with the concept of the testing of products. As a matter of fact inspection represents the assessment of whether a characteristic of an object corresponds with the required specifications. 

A key aspect of statistical quality control is evaluating the ability of a production process to meet or exceed preset specifications. This is called process capability. Simply setting up control charts to monitor whether a process is in control does not guarantee a high process capability. To produce an acceptable product, the process must be capable and in control before production begins. The process capability refers to the ability of the process to produce an output characterized by key product quality features that are within the imposed specification limits. This determines the level of nonconformities produced by the process. 

This table does not give any indication of grades or compounding options. As mentioned in section 10.2.1, rarely is a polymer, let alone a polyamide marketed pure (as a base polymer). Especially in high performance applications, tailoring, modifications and certain quality features are needed and sometimes essential. To ascertain the possibility of employing a biopolyamide for demanding applications, joint customer accompanied research and development is advised. 

In principle, odors may be determined by means of sample recognition with the help of arrays of gas sensors, so-called electronic noses. Unknown samples are compared with known samples. Hence, olfactometric investigations need to precede. Such a measuring device is applicable only in a specific case and has to be trained prior to use. Odor can become a controllable quality feature of a product. Samples of good quality can be made distinguishable from samples of bad quality. 

There are some general demands for the fabrication of nanopartides independently of the material. For this purpose, the control of size and shape is one of the most important quality features for nanopartides. The suppression of a large distribution of sizes is also a general challenge in nanopartide synthesis. In addition, microreaction technology seems to be particularly suited for the generation of complex nanopartides of well-defined composition.

Separation of these two carbohydrates is of great importance both for the dairy industry and for clinical analysis. In milk products, for example, a failure in the pasteurization process can force lactose to isomerize to lactulose due to heating. Because lactulose is not metabolized and ingestion of large amounts of lactulose can produce diarrhea [227], the lactulose content in milk products is a quality feature for a perfect pasteurization.
