Lighting fixtures

The principal U.S. market for methacrylate resins is for glazing and skylights. Other significant markets include consumer products, transportation signs and lighting fixtures, plumbing (spas, tubs, showers, sinks, etc), and panels and siding (106,107). [Pg.270]

Electrical Applications. Plastics are used for electrical insulation, conduit and enclosures, lighting fixtures, and mechanical devices. The most widely used plastic for wire and cable insulation is flexible, plasticized PVC, which constitutes well over half the market in insulating wires for buildings, automobiles, appHances, and power and control lines. Polyethylene is also a factor. Higher performance plastics such as nylon and fluoropolymers also play a smaller role in this area. [Pg.333]

Other decoratively plated coatings produced in quantity are copper and copper alloys. Copper-plated hardware for cabinetry, lighting fixtures, household trim, and other uses is protected using a top coat of clear lacquer. Copper plating finishes are available with a variety of post-treatments to simulate antique or mstic appearances. [Pg.144]

Each unit cost contains all the costs involved in the installation of that unit. For motors installed costs include the starter, conduit, wire, and a proportionate share of the service panelboard and busbars. The motor cost is not included since this will be part of the equipment cost. In the case of lighting, the installed cost includes the lighting fixtures, the conduit and wire, and a proportional share of the hghting panelboard and service switching costs. [Pg.872]
