Level predications

Meta-function symbol stands for a name (or a qualified name) of a relation between objects, or a name (or a qualified name) of an object s property—i.e. an object-level predicate name, such as f hasSon . It also stands for other metalevel function symbols to represent logical connectives, e.g. A ,... 

The meta-term of the form P (S, O), where P is an object-level predicate name, S and 0 are meta-constants or meta-variable, is used to express an object-level predicate (an object-level atomic statement) at the meta-level e.g. f hasSon ( f f a , f son ), and its negation is -. P(S,0). For an object-level statement, it is represented by a meta-term of the form W ... 

When a meta-term expresses a meta-level predicate stating a relation between entities, it has the form Pred(Sub,Obj), and when it expresses a meta-level predicate stating a characteristic of a property, it has the form Pred(Prop), where Pred is a meta-predicate name. Sub, Obj, and Prop (a property) are meta-constants or metavariables. For the negation, it has the form Pred(Sub,Obj) or -. Pred(Prop), where is a function symbol, e.g. rdf type (I, C), where I is a meta-constant specifying an individual, and C is a meta-constant specifying a class. 

Canada. Sorbic acid and potassium sorbate are cleared in Canada as Class II and Class III preservatives (Table XI, Parts II and III, Food and Dmg Regulations) (162). They are cleared for use in the same food types. As in the United States, their lawful use is predicated upon conformity with pubHshed food standards. Otherwise they may be used in bread and unstandardized foods, except meat (Divisions 14 and 21 of the regulations), fish, and poultry, at levels up to 1000 ppm, in cider and wine at 500 ppm, and in cheeses at 3000 ppm in accordance with the food standards for cheese (Section B of the regulations). 

The predicates have to express fact about the DDPs for which we are trying to prove dominance or equivalence. This restriction is clearly necessary to avoid declaring the explanation complete before we have expressed the conditions at the appropriate level in the branching structure. 

Implicitly, we can express the fact that a predicate is operational by not including it on the right-hand side of an implication. In this case, it can never be further expanded or explained, and hence if it is not operational, we will fail to generate a satisfactory explanation. This definition makes it difficult to distinguish between the operationality of facts at one level of the branching structure versus another.

While several predicates require and accept only affirmative (yes) or negative (no) responses from the user, for the most part, communication with the program is governed by what has been termed a "Context Parser", the main predicate of which has three levels to handle varying levels of linguistic complexity. 

Documentation requirements are predicated on the types of batches to be manufactured at the pilot facility. For the development of novel formulations, laboratory notebooks are the primary source of documentation. Room and equipment logbooks should be maintained. Personnel training records and SOPs must also be maintained. Once the facility is used for the larger-scale batches described earlier, what was recommended now becomes required. Manufacturing runs need to be documented accurately, preferably in batch records. Logbooks should maintain an accurate record of the product history in rooms and equipment. At this level of manufacturing, it is also important that personnel training records be kept. These... 

This chapter has discussed the role of receptors and enzymes in the fascinating and dynamic processes of chemical neurotransmission. The importance of understanding of fundamentals of how receptors and enzymes affect neurotransmission cannot be underestimated. Much of contemporary neuropharmacology is predicated on the premise that most of the drugs and many of the diseases that affect the CNS do so at the level of the synapse, as well as on the process of chemical neurotransmission. 

This cost is predicated on unencapsulated taggant levels of 0.025% for both identification and detection tagging for the major expl categories, and a price of 55/lb for the former and 40/lb for the latter... 

FDA inspections are conducted for many reasons and the extent of compliance of computer systems with Part 11 may be evaluated during any of these inspections. If applicable, a field investigator will review electronic records in order to evaluate their level of compliance with the predicate rule. At the same time, the investigator may check adequacy of record keeping arrangements for compliance with Part 11. 

Expanding ethylene and derivatives capacity appears to offer solid returns on investment. Success is predicated on fully exploiting economies of scale, typically reached at capacities of 800,000 to 1 million t/year. However, clever management of capital expenditure, cyclicality, the supply chain, and customers will make a significant difference in the level of returns.
