This area is 72.35% of the land surveyed, or 60.55% of the total 50-state area excluding the outlying areas (938.50 million ha). The federal land, water, and developed land areas are 17.43, 2.14, and 3.34% of the total 50-state area, respectively. 

In Sweden, the National Land Survey of Sweden has made different kinds of precise levelings with different epochs and different zero datum. The latest one has ended with the new height system RH2000 with the zero point NAP (Deltawerken, 2004 Wikipedia, 2007). It is made according to EVRS 2000 (Ihde, 2004 EVRS, 2007) and in cooperation with the other Nordic countries (Norin, 2006).
