KPIs

Each equation is independent of impeller type. As pointed out eadier, the absolute kpi values vary considerably from Hquid to Hquid. However, similar relationships have been found for other fluids, including fermentation broths, and also for hold-up, 8. Therefore, loss of power reduces the abiHty of the Rushton turbines to transfer oxygen from the air to the broth. 

When an inert substance I is adsorbed, the term Kpi is to be added to the adsorption term.

Zu einer Losung von 0,6 g (16 mMol) Natriumboranat in 30 ml Methanol und 6 ml Wasser tropft man eine Losung von 0,7 g (2,3 mMol)4-Tosyloxy-2-oxo-l-methyl-bicyclo[2.2.2]octan in 90ml Methanol, riihrt 24 Stdn. bei 20°, gibt 300 ml ges. Calciumchlorid-Losung hinzu, schiittelt mit Petrolather aus, trocknet iiber Natriumsulfat und destilliert Ausbeute 0,3 g (95% d.Th.) Kpi, 108°.

By measuring the oxidation rate v for different ratios [RH]/[HRjOH], it is possible to find the ratio kp/kpi and calculate /cpl when kp is known. The results of co-oxidation of different alcohols with cyclohexene are given below (T = 333 K, p02 = 1 atm, initiator AIBN [38]).
