Define Wiring Intetfaces Based on the Previous Step At this point you should be able to prepare an interface control document (ICD) that defines the wiring interface on the test set for each bias, clock, and output signal. This document generally defines the interface from the test fixture connectors to the test set connectors. 

Systems integration must be performed on the Systems Architecture Configuration Items so that external interfaces and hardware, software, and operational implementations at the next level of detail for all elements will seamlessly fit into their intended functions. System interfaces are captured in schematics, interface diagrams, tables, and drawings of interface data. Some industries mandate that an Interface Control Document (ICD) be delivered to ensure hardware form, fit, and function.

Organize Interface Control Drawings (ICDs) to document the interfaces and to provide a basis for negotiating the interfaces between the parties to the interfaces. 

These plans create a basis for ensuring that work is carried out under controlled conditions, but the staff, equipment, materials, processes, and documentation must be up to the task before work commences. A model production process is illustrated in Figure 9.3. The shaded boxes indicate interfaces external to the production process. The variables are too numerous to illustrate the intermediate steps. 

For all MicroSYNTH systems, reactions are monitored through an external control terminal utilizing the Easy WAVE software packages. The runs can be controlled by adjusting either the temperature, the pressure, or the microwave power output in a defined program of up to ten steps. The software enables on-line modification of any method parameter and the reaction process is monitored through an appropriate graphical interface. An included solvent library and electronic lab journal feature simplifies the experimental documentation. 

COM includes a model for compound documents called OLE (a collection of standard COM interfaces) and includes ActiveX controls, another set of COM interface standards that include outgoing interfaces to permit events to be signaled by a control to its container. ActiveX controls also have properties that are similar to JavaBeans properties. 

The fact that the polyreaction of diacetylenes is topochemically controlled is especially well documented by the polymerization behavior of the sulfolipid (22)23 . (22) forms two condensed phases when spread on an acidic subphase at elevated temperatures (Fig. 10). UV initiated polymerization can only be carried out at low surface pressures in the first condensed phase, where the molecules are less densely packed. Apparently, in the second phase at surface pressures from 20 to 50 mN/m the packing of the diyne groups is either too tight to permit a topochemical polymerization or a vertical shift of the molecules at the gas/water interface causes a transition from head packing to chain packing (Fig. 10), thus preventing the formation of polymer. 

The PBM is the primary interface between the host cell cytoplasm and the microsymbiont, and forms the main control point for nutrient and signal exchanges. It has been well documented that the carbon sources required for the function of bacteroids are provided by the host plant primarily in the form of dicarboxylates (see Dilworth Glenn, 1984).
