Installation third-party inspection

In the three-tier quality assurance system composed of quality control measures of the installer, third-party inspection and administrative control and supervision, special importance is attributed to third-party inspection (Knipschild 1996). The third-party inspector is the independent third person, who ensures that the installer has provided correct and complete documentation of his construction work and has proved it by his quality... 

The responsibility for the quality assurance is often assigned to lliird-party inspectors who are independent of owner, designer, manufacturers and installers. For landfill liner construction the German administrative provisions requires third-party inspection in agreement with the responsible authority and monitoring by the responsible authority. Quality control within the quality assurance system is then provided by Ae manufacturers, the installers and the third party inspector himself. The conditions, which are placed on third-party inspection bodies for the installation of geosynthetics components and plastic construction components in landfill liners will be described in the section after the next. 

A third-party inspector may be called upon to verify that a pressure vessel has been designed and manufactured according to the requirements set forth in a particular standard. Documentation from these inspections is often required for purchasing or installing a pressure vessel. 

BOEMRE inspectors and investigators are based in 7 district offices (5 in the COM, r in California, r in Alaska) and fly offshore regularly. OCS Eands Act mandates annual inspections. Inspectors have authority to issue Incidents of non-compliance which may be a warning or a facility shut-in. Civil penalties may be issued when violations pose actual harm or threat of harm to personnel or the environment. Industry self-inspections and records are required by regulation. Drills (spill response, BOPE, H2S, evacuation, etc.) are required and may be initiated by BOEMRE without notice. Third-party reviews (design, fabrication and installation) are required for deepwater or novel structures. 

Host firewalls This software firewall protects ports and services specifically for the device on which it is installed. There are also third party software packages and these are host resident for servers, workstations, laptops, etc. There are various types of host firewalls such as control firewall and stateful inspection firewall, as shown in Fig. Xl/4.1.5-1. Stateful inspection firewall filters at the network layer to determine the legitimacy of the sessions, and evaluate contents of the packets at the application layer. Control firewalls are hardware based directly on the controller to regulate traffic.
