Final inspection

Entrepreneurs must submit the applications for licenses with required documents to the concerned licensing authority. The premises and facilities will then be inspected. Finally, a license will be granted after the inspection heis confirmed that the applicant possesses adequate capabilities of doing such business, and the applicant can secure appropriate facilities and personnel for that purpose as shown in Appendix Figure 4. [Pg.704]

Inspection, final (manufacturing) The final inspection before the completed device leaves the production area to ensure that it meets specified requirements. Also called an Acceptance inspection. See also Process fiow diagram. [Pg.639]

First, the typical characteristics of inspection problems which result in heterogeneous data are presented. Next, typical AI techniques which can be used for the automated data interpretation are presented. The applicabihty of the techniques to various inspection problems is discussed. Two example apphcations for automatic NDT data interpretation are briefly described, and finally, the conclusions are given. [Pg.98]

Up to now it was demonstrated, that the probe design enables a fast positioning and that the acoustical parameters of the probe ensure a reliable crack detection implying even a coupling control. Now, the final customer s requirement was the inspection of the blades without demounting them from the engine. [Pg.761]

AIR-1 and PS-4 are used on-site for recording of A-scan data during the on-site inspection. UltraSIM is used for initial ultrasonic simulation, scan path generation and robot simulation (together with the ROBCAD robot simulation software), online control and monitoring of the real AIR-1 robot and finally for 3D reconstruction of ultrasonic A-scan data. [Pg.870]

A schematic diagram of the polymer precipitation process is shown in Figure 8. The hot polymer solution is cast onto a water-cooled chill roU, which cools the solution, causing the polymer to precipitate. The precipitated film is passed through an extraction tank containing methanol, ethanol or 2-propanol to remove the solvent. Finally, the membrane is dried, sent to a laser inspection station, trimmed, and roUed up. The process shown in Figure 8... [Pg.64]

ISO 9000. The ISO 9000 series of standards was first issued in 1987 and then updated in 1994. The ISO 9000 standard describes the selection criteria for the four standards, ISO 9001—9004. ISO 9001 is composed of 20 items covering manufactured products from design and development in R D to commercial production and after-sale service or technical support. ISO 9002 has 19 of the items in 9001 describing the requirements of a quahty system for the manufacture of an item, such as chemicals, to a specification only the requirement relating to product development is omitted. Chemical companies seldom certify to ISO 9003, which describes the quahty system for a laboratory involved in final inspection and test. Finally, ISO 9004 presents guidelines for total quahty management. [Pg.372]

The sheet may also be inspected for the quality of welding and checked for pin-holes by a weld-hole detector before it is finally cut into lengths or wound onto rolls. [Pg.144]

Applicable to those who make their products on the basis of some proven designs, or work as ancillaries for standard products. ISO 9003 - Model for Quality Assurance in Final Inspection and Test. [Pg.248]

This section covers only the tests that are essential on a completed motor, irrespective of the manufacturing procedure and stage quality checks. If ISO 9000 guidelines are assimilated, practised and enforced by a manufacturer so that a customer s trust is obtained, a final pre-despatch inspection by the customer may not be necessary. The customer, having gained confidence in the practices and Quality Assurance Systems of the manufacturer, may issue an authorization to the manufacturer to despatch the material under their own inspection certificate, rather than an inspection by the customer. We discuss below the test requirements procedure and the acceptance norms prescribed by various national and international standards for such machines and adopted by various manufacturers. [Pg.250]

Once testing and final inspection are complete, the unit is prepared for shipment. The specification should have detailed the type of storage anticipated and expected time. It should have specified indoor, warehouse, outside storage, or whatever is planned. An anticipated time point should also have been stated. The contract should have stated the mode of shipment and destination instructions. Upon notice of shipment, the traffic department (if there is one) may wish to monitor the shipment. [Pg.461]

Inspection. After the final adhesive cure cycle, the bonded assembly is removed from the tool and inspected. The first and most cursory inspection is a simple visual check. Major problems such as crushed core and significantly mis-located details can be seen with the unaided eye. A lack of continuous adhesive squeeze-out ( flash or spew ) around the periphery of details can be indicative of insufficient adhesive and subsequent voids. [Pg.1165]

Acid used in the formation process is removed from the batteries and reused. The batteries are washed, fresh acid is added, and the batteries are tested, re-washed, and inspected before being shipped to an on-site warehouse. The intermediate and final washes generate process wastewater, as do the battery repair and housekeeping (floor washing) operations. This wastewater Is pretreated on-site and then piped to the local publicly owned treatment works (POTW). [Pg.82]

After final inspection, exposed machined surfaces shall be coated with a rust preventative. [Pg.314]
