Inhibitor of plant growth

The sulfonylureas are potent inhibitors of plant growth seed germination is generally affected, but subsequent root and shoot growth is severely inhibited in sensitive seedling. Death follows chlorosis and necrosis. 

Activity Aesculetin exhibits antifungal activity. Aesculin reduces the permeability of blood capillaries. Scopoletin acts as an inhibitor of plant growth and is contained in the Chinese drug Toki from Angelica acutiloba. Scoparone is mutagenic.
