Redefining the service offering. Based on an evaluation of customer needs and external competitors, site services and infrastructure providers firstly need to reconsider which services they should offer - and which ones they should not. They are clearly not the best owners of activities such as catering, human resources management, information management, or patent and license management - currently often part of their service portfolio. Second, they need to define which services will be provided by their own personnel and which services will be... [Pg.264]

Scope of Validation The boundaries of the validation project must be defined to ensure that there is full coverage. For example, will the analytical equipment or Chromatography Data System interfaces be validated as part of the project, will Supplier Evaluations be required, etc. It is very important at this stage to determine what is within the scope of the LIMS Validation Plan and what will be validated under other associated Validation Plans. The validation of the implementation of processes and information management within the laboratory should be managed as a cohesive whole to ensure that all parts of the LIMS are developed and validated to the appropriate standards. This may be achieved by the use of a Validation Master Plan (VMP) for all the laboratory processes and information management. The Validation Plan for the LIMS and any associated plans for other interfaced systems would be referenced in and be under the control of this VMP. [Pg.520]

An important step in all the processes already defined is the necessity for proper information management. Archival of PCB customer-supplied information and the files generated from the tooling process are critical for disaster recovery. Archiving systems available on the market also provide for centralized data management and distribution of the information to the various departments within an organization. [Pg.458]

Define driver responsibilities for informing managers, supervisors, and mechanics/technicians of safety-related defects and repair requirements prior to vehicle operation, including those resulting from vehicle OOSOs. [Pg.283]

Classification of wastes may be according to purpose, distinguishing between defense waste related to military appHcations, and commercial waste related to civiUan appHcations. Classification may also be by the type of waste, ie, mill tailings, high level radioactive waste (HLW), spent fuel, low level radioactive waste (LLW), or transuranic waste (TRU). Alternatively, the radionucHdes and the degree of radioactivity can define the waste. Surveys of nuclear waste management (1,2) and more technical information (3—5) are available. [Pg.228]
