An overall alignment of the Atlas Array phosphor image to the Atlasimage Grid Template is made using the Atlas Image software. 

There are a number of stains to label the nucleus for the purpose of detection in high content analysis. We use DRAQ5 to label not only the nuclei but also the cytosol to a lesser extent. With thresholds properly adjusted, imaging software can detect the nuclei and cytosol in the same channel in two consecutive steps with just one staining. 

The extent of cell migration/invasion can be monitored by standard light microscopy and/or by densitometric analysis (e.g., using Image software). Normalize the extent of migration in each sample to the one of the corresponding internal control.

Apply regions of interest (ROI) from displayed images around the tumor sites and quantify emitted signals as total photons/s using Living Image Software. 

Quantify emitted BLI signals from lymph node metastasis as total photons/sec using Living Image software. 

Differential in-gel electrophoresis (DIGE) facilitates protein expression by labeling different populations of proteins with fluorescent dyes. Typically, paired samples from the normal and tumor region are labeled with Cy3 and Cy5. After analysis by differential analysis image software, protein spots that exhibit a significant difference in intensity are excised for in-gel tryptic digestion and MS analysis.

Quantification may be desirable for the interpretation of the results and can be performed in several different ways, we have used Image software (NIH) for this purpose, but other techniques could be used. 

A subsequent chapter by Budevska showed extensive false color images of corn produced with the FPA imaging instrument in the agricultural division of Dupont [29]. Additionally, chemometric and imaging software was reported by the same authors [30]. 

The subcutaneous sites were examined for bioluminescence using the Hamamatsu Low Light Imaging System (Hamamatsu Corporation) and the Metamorph imaging software (Universal Imaging Corporation). Development of low levels of bioluminescence at all injection sites was considered time zero for all experiments. Photon counts were...
