Hyper-nucleator

Netzloff J. Increase your profitability in injection molded polypropylene parts with hyper nucleating agents, live web presentation. SpecialChem S.A. 3 December 2008. [Pg.262]

Hyper nucleating agents have been developed recently and offer the combined benefits of high crystallization rates and isotropic shrinkage control, which leads to improved production and part quality performance, in addition to the traditional mechanical property-related enhancements. Hyper nucleating agents are formulated compounds. For example. Hyperform HPN-68L is a blend of fixe disodium salt of bicyclo[2.2.1]heptane-23-dicarboxylic acid, Eruc-amide and amorphous silicon dioxide (11). [Pg.121]

A hyper-eutectic alloy containing, say, 50% Sb starts to freeze when the temperature reaches the liquidus line (point a in Fig. 20.39). At this temperature pure pro-eutectic Sb nucleates as the temperature continues to fall, more antimony is deposited from the melt, and the composition of the liquid phase moves down the liquidus line to the eutectic point. When this is reached, the remainder of the melt solidifies. The microstructure of alloys of eutectic composition varies somewhat with alloy system, but generally consists of an aggregate of small particles, often platelets, of one of the phases comprising the eutectic in a continuous matrix of the other phase. Finally, the microstructure of the hypereutectic 50% Sb alloy already mentioned... [Pg.1275]

The nucleation and growth of hydrates on ice surfaces have been studied using hyperpolarised Xe NMR spectroscopy. Xe NMR spectroscopy has been used to study diffusion in water-saturated porous media. The temperature dependence of the hyper-polarised Xe NMR signal has been used to study the interconversion of species in ice and THF hydrate. ... [Pg.171]
