Catalytic conversion. The most efficient way to prevent the accumulation of impurities that are difficult to remove is chemical conversion. Here we consider only two types of reactions catalytic combustion and hydrogenation. By catalytic combustion, a gaseous impurity is destroyed to COj, SOj, N2 and HjO. For safety reasons, the impurity concentration should be kept well below the lower explosion limit.
