Humility

In the Medicina Catholica (1629—31) Fludd explained that the way to conserve or restore health was through a righteous, prayerful life. The highest level of spiritual health was attainable through penitence and humility, virtues that were sacramental and granted supercelestial health. The apostles had cured the sick and had even raised the dead in the Name of Christ because the Name contained in itself all other kabbalistic names of God Ehieh, lah, Elohim, El, Sadai, Adonai. Jesus is a personal name, but Christ is invoked...

In the few hours I spent with Carolyn, I was blessed by her humor, sadness, dignity, humility, inspiration and grace. Ji and Kumar [107] presented an invention in which, after treatment with PTFE, the cathode diffusion layers are coated with a silicon solution in order to enhance the hydrophobic properties of the DFs. This silicon does not have to be coated over the whole surface of the DL, but could be coated in just certain areas, depending on the design of the cell, the location of fhe cell wifhin a stack, and the desired hydrophobic properties. It was demonstrated how a DL with the silicon coating improved the performance of a single fuel cell when operating at high relative humilities [107].

The individual may also be devalued in comparison with the social class of which he is a member, but the Buddhist will retort that in fact such an individual does not exist, that he is merely an illusion. Humility, as when one says that the self is small when compared with God, is largely a way of increasing God s stature by relying upon a very resilient self for support. In fact, a Buddhist will reply, none of that exists, neither God nor self (or, more precisely, there is undoubtedly no God for the theravada Buddhist and there is definitely no self for all Buddhists).
