Herbal teas popularity

Brigitte Mars, an herbalist and nutritional consultant in Boulder, Colorado, has been working with natural medicines for over 27 years. The formulator of the popular "UniTea" line of herbal teas, she teaches herbalism at Naropa Institute, The Rocky Mountain Center for Botanical Studies and The Boulder School of Massage Therapy. She frequently contributes articles to The Herb Companion, Natural Health, Let s Live, and other magazines, and is a member of the American Herbalist Guild. This is her first book.

Herbal tea is another popular form of herbal therapy. Herbal tea is made by soaking fresh or dried herbs in boiling water. Once the herb blends with the water, the resulting tea can be stored in the refrigerator for later use as a drink, bath water additive, or applied topically in a compress to the skin. 

Different varieties of herbal tea continue to be highly regarded despite the availability of modem medicines, and for some uses, even dominant e.g., to increase appetite or lactation 3.7). They have a pleasant taste and drinking them induces positive feehngs, which explains their lasting popularity.

Saint-John s-wort is one example of a natural herbal remedy for depression that has recently gained in popularity and prevalence across the United States.
