Grammatical errors

Section Five Is a review of writing basics. The parts of speech and common grammatical errors are explained and made goof-proof. Spelling, punctuation marks, and capitalization are also covered. 

Unnecessary shifts from one tense to another not only sound unskilled, but may obscure meaning as well. For instance, when describing an event in the past, all verbs should be in the past tense. Before final submittal, the completed report should be read carefully and checked for typographical errors, consistency of data quoted in the text with those presented in tables and graphs, grammatical errors, spelling errors, and similar obvious mistakes. If excessive corrections or changes are necessary, the appearance of the report must be considered and some sections may need to be retyped.
