Glues, drying

Slide the HCN vial into the other end. Glue it to the inside of the projector body with a single drop of rubber cement. This will keep it from rattling around. Let the glue dry. [Pg.62]

After the glue dries, the cutting blocks are attached by means of the binges to two adjacent sides of the blank block. This Is done by inverting each cutter block on the blank and attaching the hinges, to Insure proper alignment. The end result is shown in FIG. 3,... [Pg.258]

Let the glue dry overnight. If a twig falls off the next day, put a little more glue on the vase and press the twig back in place. [Pg.16]

When the glue dries, you are ready to put your Birdbath outside. [Pg.104]

Casein is used to fortify flour, bread, and cereals. Casein also is used for glues and microbiological media. Calcium caseinate is made from a pressed casein, by rinsing, treating with calcium hydroxide [1305-62-0], heating, and mixing foUowed by spray drying. A product of 2—4% moisture is obtained. [Pg.370]

In the late 1800s, when the demand for coated paper for the halftone printing process increased, casein rapidly replaced glue. Casein forms a hard, tough film when dry, and can be waterproofed easily with formaldehyde (qv). The properties of soy protein are similar to those of casein, and soy protein has been substituted for it in many types of coated papers requiring a casein-type binder (see Soybeans and other oilseeds). Casein, a valuable food product, is seldom used as a paper adhesive, in spite of its excellent adhesive properties. [Pg.10]

This process uses coUated signatures that ate sewn on special machines which pass thread through the folds of each signature and ate knotted at the back Glue is appHed to the spine and hard covets ate attached. Finished books ate then dried in special hydraulic presses. [Pg.56]

Oriented strandboard (OSB) resins are quite similar to plywood resins, though they tend to be lower in alkalinity and higher in solids. Sinee OSB resins are sprayed onto dry wood in small discrete droplets rather than applied in glue lines, the problems associated with holding the glue on the wood surfaee are not usually issues of coneem. Adhesive dry-out and loss of flow displace over-penetration as major difficulties. [Pg.894]

Severe corrosion can be caused by organic acid fumes such as acetic or formic acids. These can be liberated by new wood, especially oak, and also by varnishes, glues, urea formaldehyde, plastics, fabrics and drying-oil paints, which can liberate fumes for a considerable time after application ... [Pg.728]
