The ulcer may be bigger and visible as more or less wide zones in the area of the palpebral gap and mainly in the lower part. These are carved as on a geographic map (Fig. 7.8).

Data of the first type for the global model units are stored as geographical maps and as tables of model equation coefficients. 

Two collectors were operated at each site with these paired results statistically screened for potential contamination based on indpendently measured experimental uncertainties. Geographical mapping of rainwater c ncentrations demonstrated a clear enhancement of H, excess SO., and trace metals downwind of the smelter. Principal component analysis revealed the influence of seasalt, crustal material, and a component interpreted to represent smelter S02 and trace metal emissions. 

The rainwater chemical concentrations were examined to determine the spatial variations of several species over the mesoscale extent of the sampling network. Geographical mapping of rainwater concentrations demonstrated an enhancement of H, SO.-, As, Pbf Cuf Inf and Sb downwind of the smelter (to the northeast), consistent with the hypothesis that the smelter was an important source of these species.

In this section, we present a simple model of attribute correspondences as a basis for the proposed extensions. The model is based on Marie and Gal [2008], We shall accompany the description with a specific simplified case study that will assist us in demonstrating the three extensions to the basic attribute correspondence model. The case study is about the design of a hotel reservation portal. The portal merges various hotel information databases, adding a mashup applications that assists in positioning hotels on a geographical map. 

Skeleton Images are used, e.g, for digitizing geographical maps. In cases where line widths are not Important, center line vectors will be sufficient (Figure la). To generate center line points, the components of the initial Images are broken down to simple lines by continuous removal of edge points. Thinned lines can be represented by chain (O codes or by approximation. 

Pyroelectric ceramics can be used to detect any radiation that produces a change in the temperature of the crystal, but are generally used for IR detection. Because of their extreme sensitivity a rise in temperature of less than one-thousandth of a degree can be detected. This property finds application in devices such as intruder alarms, thermal imaging, and geographic mapping.

If mass-weighted coordinates were not introduced, a displacement of the point representing the system on the potential energy map would not follow the direction of the negative gradient or the steepest descent (on a geographic map such a motion would look natural, because slow rivers flow this way). When the aurora is moderately active for several days, the auroral oval is approximately fixed with respect to the sun, and the Earth rotates under it once a day. The locus of the midnight portion of such an oval on a geographic map is called the auroral zone. This zone coincides with the belt of the maximum frequency of airroral visibility, and it passes over central Alaska, northern Canada, the southern tips of Greenland and Iceland, the northern tip of the Scandinavian Peninsula, and the Arctic Ocean coast in Siberia. The center line of this belt lies close to the geomagnetic latitude circle of 67°. The occurrence frequency of the aurora decreases away from this belt toward both higher and lower latitudes. 

The name "tessera" (latin component of a mosaic configuration) can be correlated with the delimitations of the principal types of ecosystems (i.e. biogeocenosis or, better, ecocoenotopes) constituting a sort of geographic map, some times apparently similar to the "land use" maps of the human territory, but with an ecological sense.

The knowledge expert from R-tree and Quadtree Rule-based data set above has been applied to geographical map, which is Pasir Gudang Map (one of the location in Malaysia). This map was used as GIS data case. It is needs to ap>ply the Rule-Base data set to all of the tables in Pasir Gudang database. It also need exploration to recognized whether those tables suitable to use the R-tree, Quadtree or without spatial data indexing method.

The coordinate system used in the geographical map is XY-M (Arbitrary X-Y Coordinates (Meters)) with lower left coordinates X 37,478.171281 Y -7,091.537339 and upper right coordinates X 39,341.018451 Y -66,250.168600. The initial view of the map is center X 38,409.594866 Y -66,670.852970 with zoom to 1 32,965.970000. Our map has also built some of the general GIS map functions, like Select Mode, Clear Selection, Zoom in. Zoom Out, Help, Pan Mode, Buffer, Select Polygon, Select Radius, Select Within, Measure, Print, and Search.
