8 Generalization of parameter design towards Response Surface Methodology (RSM) 

In the previous section it looked as though a gigantic experimental effort would be necessary to get a TLC separation which is robust against changes in temperature and relative humidity. However, with the aid of models based on much less experiments it is possible to predict the separations under all experimental situations. Based on these predictions it should be possible to optimize the separation.
