OTM technology involves both O2 separation and combustion in one unit. An OTM is made of an inert porous support coated with a dense membrane gas separation layer, where oxygen anions meet and react with fuel species (CO, Hj, CH4 etc. that have diffused through the porous support) and form oxidation products (H2O, CO2), while the electrons travel in the opposite way back through the membrane layer [100]. [Pg.108]
