Frame storage

In a simple matrix scheme the threshold is provided by an additional diode at each element [113] as shown in Fig. 50. The slow decay in brightness of the liquid crystal is used to provide frame storage. All diodes in this scheme are biased off except those coincidentally selected by row and column signals.

In consumer appHcations, titanium is used in golf club heads, jewelry, eyeglass frames, and watches. The Japanese have promoted the use of titanium in roofing and monuments. Other appHcation areas include nuclear-waste storage canisters, pacemaker castings, medical implants, high performance automotive appHcations, and ordnance armor. 

CViange-Can Mixers Change-can mixers are vertical batch mixers in which the container is a separate unit easily placed in or removed from the frame of the machine. They are available in capacities of about 4 to 1500 L (1 to 400 gal). The commonest type is the pony mixer. Separate cans allow the batch to be carefully measured or weighed before being brought to the mixer itself. The mixer also may serve to transpoi the finished batch to the next operation or to storage. The identity of each batch is preseiwed, and weight checks are easily made. 

The reservoir is the lube oil storage tank. In some of the packaged compressors, it is built into the package base, and, in some standardized compressors, it is built into the compressor frame. In a reciprocating...

Pure aluminum is soft, light, and malleable. It is the most common metal in the Earth s crust (ca. 8 %). Small amounts of Cu or Mg additives make it hard and firm. The surface is passivated with an oxide layer. Produced by fused-salt molten flux electrolysis. Cannot be welded, but is nevertheless optimal for airplanes (in which case it is riveted), construction units (windows, frames), and utensils such as cans, foil, and tubes. Increasingly found in cars in order to minimize weight. Tiny holes are burnt into extremely thin aluminum films in data-storage units. It has no function in physiology, but Al ions in the bloodstream can be detrimental.

A more complex constraint to meet is the maximum perishability as the maximum time frame within the material produced by a process must be processed by the successor processes. This maximum perishability may even be dependent of the successor process and the predecessor process. Using different storage or tanks the perishability may change dependent on the chosen storage location. 

Many LCDs are based on active-matrix addressing, in which an active device circuit containing one or more TFTs is connected to each pixel. The TFT circuit at each pixel effectively acts as an individual electrical switch that provides the means to store display information on a storage capacitor for the entire frame time, such that the pixel can remain emitting during this entire time rather than for a small fraction of time, as is the case in passive addressing.
