Fitting button

Clicking the Fit button initiates the iterative improvement of the parameters and after a few iterations the perfect results are evident. This of course is supportive of the validity of the model itself. If the scheme is wrong and cannot accoxmt for the detail in the data, a good fit wiU be xmobtainable. The ReactLab GUI at the end of the fit is given in Figure 12. 

The Auto Fit button is used to start the calculation. After clicking on this button the calculation begins and the button text changes to Stop. During the iteration the newly calculated bands are shown on the display in real time. The calculation can be interrupted at any time by clicking on the button. To restart, click the Auto Fit button again. 

Fifth, click the Fitting button (shown as a framed button in Fig. 5.171. This will pop up the Fitting window, as shown in Fig. 5.18. 

Sixth, click New fit button (shown as framed button in Fig. 5.181 to define the model type. Figure 5.19 shows the Fitting window where the user can define or input his or her model. 

The probes themselves could be fitted with a button, like a computer mouse, for clicking when over a grid point. This would allow one-hand operation and make sampling in... 

Remotely operated emergency isolation valves (see Section 7.2.1) should be fitted on filling lines. If the hose breaks for any reason, the flow can be stopped by pressing a button located at a safe distance. Reverse flow from the tank truck or car can be prevented by a check valve. 

For dealing with smaller volumes of solution, micropipettes, often referred to as syringe pipettes, are employed. These can be of a push-button type, in which the syringe is operated by pressing a button on the top of the pipette the plunger travels between two fixed stops and so a remarkably constant volume of liquid is delivered. Such pipettes are fitted with disposable plastic tips (usually of polythene or polypropylene) which are not wetted by aqueous solutions, thus helping to ensure constancy of the volume of liquid delivered. The liquid is contained entirely within the plastic tip and so, by replacing the tip, the same pipette can be employed for different solutions. Such pipettes are available to deliver volumes of 1 to 1000 pL, and the delivery is reproducible to within about 1 per cent.

From the weight station, the munitions move into a burster casing station where an operator drops burster casings into the filled and accepted rounds. The operator then presses a release button and the munitions travel to the hydraulic press accumulator. The accumulator automatically releases four munitions with bursters into the press station where the burster casings are hydraulically pressed (metal interference fit) into the munition. 

The hardwired ESD activation means is usually a push in knob or button. Confirmed action of the push button should be always be required to manually activate the ESD system in order to prevent accidental activations. Most commonly a protective cover is fitted over any of the push button or manual activation devices. All devices should only be manually resettable. 

The ward, large enough to accommodate 20 bunks for enlisted troops, contained only half a dozen widely separated hospital-style beds. A young soldier sat on the edge of one of them, restlessly fumbling with his pillow. He was trying to stuff it back into the pillowcase from which he had just removed it. He couldn t make it fit, so he turned his attention to the sheets. Then, suddenly, he became interested in the buttons on a technician s shirt.

Fig. 124 is a representation of Winfield s lucent burner, in which the Liverpool button is applied to an argand gas-burner, and the peculiar form of ohimney causes an external current of air to impinge at a certain angle npon the flame, producing the same effect as the metallic cone in the solar lamp a basket of wire-gauze is fitted into the crutch of tire burner, which moderates the supply of air from below, and prevents the flickering caused by sudden draughts.

Duvet covers, sheets, and pillow covers can have a range of fabric compositions. Most are either cotton or, more commonly, cotton-polyester mixtures of different percentages. Table 7.12 illustrates some currently available in the U.K. through major outlets. Though they can be of fancy weaves (e.g., damask), most are plain weave. Fitted sheets will contain elastic at the corners, whereas duvet covers usually have plastic button or press stud fasteners. 

The online statistical calculations can be performed at http //members.aol.com/ johnp71/javastat.html. To carry out linear regression analysis as an example, select Regression, correlation, least squares curve-fitting, nonparametric correlation, and then select any one of the methods (e.g., Least squares regression line, Least squares straight line). Enter number of data points to be analyzed, then data, x and y . Click the Calculate Now button. The analytical results, a (intercept), b (slope), f (degrees of freedom), and r (correlation coefficient) are returned. 

To overcome the difficulty of separation of the two halves on removal a silicon rubber cap was fitted over the nose of the suppository and the cord was threaded through the base of the device, out through the top, attached to the silicon button then back along the same route. Strain on pulling was then absorbed by the silicon rubber cap and the suppository could be withdrawn intact.
