First response

Process flow reduction should be targeted and must be in such a way that it will not impact upon the operation of the process or plant. The normal first response by a plant engineer is that air flow reduction cannot be done. However, subsequent investigation has resulted in that most of the time flow reduction can be done. This should be a significant area to focus on when conducting a pollution prevention audit. 

The principal factor of complexity is obviously related to the origin of the wastewaters and to the presence of fouling and/or clogging materials (Table 6). Even if raw suspended matter seems to be at first responsible for preventing measurement, some other components such as soluble substances (grease, petroleum by-products,...) or living organisms (from bacteria to mussels) can be the main problem.

In the 1960s the rhetoric of war began to be applied to the effort to overcome social problems. The first responsibility of the student is to become knowledgeable about the properties and hazards of the radioactive substances to be used. You must know which radioisotopes are to be handled and the form, gas, liquid or solid, of the material. After exposure to an antigen, its recognition by the immune system is followed by either the production of an immune response or the development of tolerance, depending on the circumstances. The immune response could be humoral, cell-mediated or both. On second and subsequent encounters with the same antigen, the type of response is determined by the outcome of the first response. However, the quantity and the quality of both responses are very different.
