Fiber-Reinforced Tapes

To increase the mechanical strength of a film tape ftirther, filaments can be embedded into the PSA. Most common are glass fibers alternatives are polyester and polyamides. Such tapes have high tensile strength and low elongation under stress. Further, they are highly resistant to tear propagation, which is a weak point of biaxially oriented films. These tapes are suitable for heavy-duty applications.
