Feeder vibratory

Vihra.toryPa.ri Feeders. Vibratory pan devices act much in the same way as louvered feeders in that they can feed material gendy and accurately. Unfortunately, they are limited primarily to appHcations involving round or square outlets. If a long rectangular outlet is used, the feeder must operate across the short dimension of the slot. [Pg.559]

Volumetric Feeders. Examples of volumetric feeders are screws, belts, rotary valves, louvered, and vibratory. [Pg.557]

Apparatus and Procedure - The experiments with the solid feedstocks and the initial experiments on liquid samples were carried out in the apparatus shown in Figure 1A. The vapors from a stainless steel, stirred-bed carbonizer/vaporizer at 873°K were cracked at atmospheric pressure in a tube reactor heated in a platinum-wound furnace. The reactor was 30 mm ID and had a 100 mm long hot zone within 20°K of the maximum reactor temperature. Solid feedstocks were introduced at about 1 g min. from a vibratory table through a water-cooled port. Liquids were injected at the same point from a mechanically driven syringe at 0.1-0.8 ml min. The amount fed was determined by weighing the feeders. [Pg.229]

If whole tires are used, they are usually added manually to the reactor. If the processor is using chipped tires, the chips are stored in a chip silo (see Figure 8-1, Item 1), and are fed from the silo into the reactor using a vibratory feeder or a screw conveyor to achieve a controllable and known feed rate. The feed passes through an air lock system consisting of two valves or a rotary star valve. From the air lock, the feed enters the pyrolysis reactor (Item 2). [Pg.295]

The rotary sample divider or spinning riffler was first described in 1934 [20] and conforms to the golden rules of sampling. The preferred method of using this deviee is to fill a mass flow hopper in such a way that segregation does not occur. The table is then set in motion and the hopper outlet opened so that the powder falls into the collecting boxes. The use of a vibratory feeder is recommended to provide a constant flowrate... [Pg.28]

Danfoss QueCheck Vision System performs a continuous analysis directly from the production line, typically at 0.5 s intervals. The final results of the measurement are available after 100-300 frames so that an equivalent sieve analysis is completed every 3 min. The particle size distribution is documented via an interface with database and printer. The material is fed in a fine stream, by means of a vibratory feeder, past a vision camera that calculates the size distribution as it falls. The system has been applied to measuring the size distribution of sugar crystals. Online image processing has also been applied to monitoring granule size distribution and shape in fluidized bed granulation [150]. [Pg.185]

The instrument has also been used for size analysis of sugar crystals from 40 pm to several mm in size. By means of a vibratory feeder, the sugar is fed in free fall, past a vision camera and sized every 5s. The final result of the measurement is available after 100-300 frames and documented via an interface with a database and printer. Measured data includes particle count and size or projected area. [Pg.476]

Carbonization runs were made with the equipment shown in Figure 1. The carbonizer was designed for temperatures to 2000°F, pressures to 500 psi, and coal rates to 500 grams/hr. Coal from a closed, pressure-equalized hopper was injected by a vibratory screw feeder into a gas stream that carried the particles at high velocity into the carbonizer. Another stream of gas entered the top of the carbonizer via a preheater that heated the gas to the carbonization temperature. [Pg.122]
