We finally show in Fig. D.ll the terminal impedance as seen from the center element with two parasitic sections at the top and two below like Fig. D.7b but also flanked on each side with parasitically excited columns comprised of five segments. Dimensions are given in the insert, and the ESP program was used with a 10-mil dielectric sheet. As usual, the impedance curves include the small transmission line section. Note the poor performance at the lower frequencies compared to the scan impedance in Fig. D.3. 

Charges on the atoms in dimethyl sulphide were calculated as -0.22, -0.30, 0.14 e for sulphur, carbon, hydrogen respectively using the MOPAC-ESP program[69]. We carried out calculations for dimethyl sulphide in calix[4]-, [5]- and [6]-arene. We used the DOCKER program in the manner described in Section 5.4.1 and for each calixarene we minimised 100 structures for which results are shown in Table 4.

Electrochemical Simulation Package (ESP) is a free program which allows a PC to simulate virtually any mechanism by the following pulse techniques, i.e. cyclic voltammetry, square-wave voltammetry, chronoamperometry and sample DC polarography. The program can also be used in conjunction for fitting experimental data at solid and DME electrodes. It is the only package to explicitly claim to be bug-free . 

ESP and electron density maps were obtained by analytical calculations using the program MOLPROP with parameters for the K-model Characteristic peculiarities in the ESP along bonding lines are seen in the (110) map for MgO (Fig. 6). All peculiarities in the ESP distribution can be seen, i.e. in the form of maximums on the nuclei and at one-, two-, and three-dimensional minimums in the inter-nuclear areas.
