IT Select from company insulation standards (or prepare, if necessary) the insulation codes to be applied to each hot or cold pipe or equipment. Note that insulation must be applied in some cases only to prevent operating personnel from contacting the base equipment. A solution of 80 g. Analysis—Requirements for equipment qualification have been in existence for many years. The FDA outlined the basic requirements in the Guideline on General Principles of Validation [11], There is really no excuse for the firm to have omitted this for a new piece of equipment. Note that FDA used the term equipment qualification, suggesting a combined approach would be acceptable. The FDA guidance mentioned above speaks only to equipment qualification, not IQ or OQ. [Pg.123]

These first results call for a few general and simple comments. First of all, as you can see, the diffuse scattering signal is much flatter than the diffraction signal. Reacts violently with strong oxidizers, anhydrous ammonia, isopropanol, chemically active metals, silicon tetrahy-dride, sodium. Forms shock-sensitive material with potassium. Incompatible with ierr-butyl-azidoformate, sodium azide. Attacks most metals in moist conditions however, it may not affect monel, tantalum, or glass-lined equipment. Note Sodium hydroxide or anhydrous ammonia has been used to neutralize this gas. [Pg.264]

All of these materials should be handled in a fume hood with proper personal protective equipment. Note that thiols are especially malodorous and, even with proper precautions, their scent can adsorb onto the surface of gloves and clothing which enters and exits the fumehood environment and enter the room. Leaving used gloves, pipettes, washed glassware, and arm shields in a hood overnight before disposal can reduce scent carry-over. [Pg.116]
