End user requirements

Upon management s approval, the end-user requirements for the software/computer system should be identified in a formal document that includes the following ... [Pg.1056]

A computer system is composed of software and hardware, equipment, a processor, and a user, and it is used to execute a specific procedure. Regardless of whether the computer system is developed in-house or by a contractor or purchased off the shelf, establishing documented end-user requirements is extremely important for computer systems validation. Without first establishing end-user needs and intended use, it is virtually impossible to confirm that the system can consistently meet them. Once established, it should obtain evidence that the computer system implements those needs correctly and that they are traceable to system design requirements and specifications. It is important that the end-user requirements specifications take into account predicate rules [12]. [Pg.830]

A wide variety of reagent and format configurations have been devised to simplify handling and visualization of the end point, with the different formats reflecting solutions to different end-user requirements. [Pg.828]

The choice of polymer within the system is often driven by the end user requirements for the ink. For instance, if the customer wishes... [Pg.150]

The focus of automation is not solely on HPLC anymore (since it is automated), but also includes the sample preparation procedure for drug products since it involves many labor intensive steps (weighing, addition of sample solvent, extraction procedure, mixing, filtration, additional dilutions, second mixing, etc.). So, if the sample preparation procedures are automated and combined with HPLC, then the entire analysis is said to be fully automated whether it is for assay, CU, blend analysis, or even for dissolution testing. Such automated workstations are currently available from number of vendors (Caliper Life Science, SOTAX Inc.), but their ability to integrate with HPLC or UV spectrophotometer is left to the end users. This open-ended option depends on the end user requirements. [Pg.719]

As part of the semi-quantitative risk analysis report to corporate, the analysis team included an evaluation of the recommended risk mitigation options. For chlorine, the second recommendation was not practical because the end user required ton containers thus, the transport of smaller cylinders was not an option for the customer. Therefore, this recommendation was removed from further consideration. Since ton containers are shipped via truck, an alternate route was discussed with the carrier—a new route that eliminated passing near higher-population densities with little change in the distance or conditions of the route. [Pg.159]

The improved control over the polymer structure offered by these catalysts offers the polymer producer a significantly greater ability to tailor the polymer to the end-user requirements. Polymer research with metallocene catalysts continues, so more advances can be expected for polyethylene, polypropylene, and other polyolefins. [Pg.114]

The versatile nature of POCs lends itself to textile and fiber applications. The property modifications of POCs (combining the virgin polymer with the right filler material) meet end-user requirements. POC textile is used in sportswear. These flexible, high-tech fibers have a long life and are colorfast, resistant to different chemicals, inexpensive, and safe for the environment. The advantages of POCs in the textile industry are as follows ... [Pg.173]

The papermakers always make a trade-off between fibre development and machine speed or throughput. However, the ultimate objective of the paper mills is to produce a paper product that must satisfy the end-users requirements. [Pg.380]

Metallurgical coal cleaning plants utilize thermal dryers—the coal is softer and more friable and thus has a finer size distribution after extraction by the mining machines. Coals for metallurgical use must be thoroughly processed and dried to meet the end user requirements. Additionally, flotation is typically utilized in these circuits due to the quantity of coal and quality of the needed end product (low ash, low sulfur) (Apian, 1993 Burchfield, 1993). [Pg.158]

Supply chain. Product life cycle processes comprising physical, information, financial, and knowledge flows whose purpose is to satisfy end-user requirements with physical products and services from multiple, linked suppliers. [Pg.5]

The supply chain should support the satisfaction of end-user requirements. These requirements give rise to the fundamental mission of supply chains — matching supply and demand. The customer may not be the end-user, but a representative. An example is the parent buying a toy for the child. [Pg.6]

Demand End-user requirements for a product or service. This is what would be consumed if sufficient product were available at prices that yield a profit. End-users are not necessarily purchasers who pay for a product. A customer may buy a product or service on behalf of the end-user. [Pg.526]

Supply chain 1. Life-cycle processes comprising physical, information, financial, and knowledge flows whose purpose is to satisfy end-user requirements with products and services from multiple, linked suppliers. 2. The global network used to deliver products and services from raw materials to end customers through an engineered flow of information, physical distribution, and cash. (Adapted from APICS Dictionary, lOtb edition)... [Pg.553]

However, extensive research on the scarcely explored field of nanocomposite formulation based on polyhydroxyalkanoates is needed in order to enhance their mechanical, and other, properties, which can be manipulated to suit end-users requirements in order to meet a wide range of applications. [Pg.131]

For consumer and end users of polymer materials an indication of the chemical composition of the polymer is not sufficient. A polymeric material can be modified to be tailor made to a wide range of processing and performance requirements. Consumer and end users require a uniform designation for commercially available products. The designation should indicate which basic properties characterise the corresponding product. [Pg.91]

Also, the Liquefied Petroleum Gas standard at 1910.110(e)(2) requires that LP-Gas fueled forklifts comply with NFPA 505-1969, Standard for Type Designations, Areas of Use, Maintenance and Operation of Powered Industrial Trucks. Although the 1969 edition does not reference fire extinguishers, the 2006 edition addresses their use in Chapter 9, which states that where either the authority having jurisdiction or the end user requires an industrial truck to be equipped with a portable extinguisher, the location of the extinguisher must be in accordance with the truck manufacturer s recommendation. The NFPA standard also says that industrial trucks can only be equipped with portable extinguishers if operators have been trained in their safe operation and use. [Pg.296]

The main areas of development for the Council and the industry are to increase the environmentally sustainable production of ware and seed potatoes and to increase potato quality to meet end-user requirements. Projects currently funded by them include the improvement of input precision and the reduction of production costs, the improvement of understanding of the factors affecting eating quality and the Fight Against Blight (FAB) campaign. [Pg.363]

Qi or T]i are complex functions of cell design, specific properties of cell materials, cell composition, thermodynamic conditions, and current density of operation. All efforts in fundamental fuel cell science are geared toward unraveling these functional dependencies. Applied research and development focuses on finding ways to minimize contributions of Qi and whereby optimal values of Cceii and PceU could be obtained. The target values and constraints on performance, cost, durability, and lifetime of this optimization problem are set by end-user requirements. [Pg.11]

The supply chain should support the sahsfaction of end-user requirements. These requirements give rise to the fundamental reason for the supply chain in the first place. We also qualify a supply chain as having multiple linked suppliers. If we take the point of view of the end-user s view of the chain, we have a supply chain when there are multiple enterprises backing the one from which the user makes his or her purchase. Also, we think a supply chain could be multiple outlets representing a single enterprise. So the neighborhood barber would not constitute a supply chain under our definition. A chain of barbershops would be a supply chain. The farmer selling watermelons from his field by the side of the road would not qualify the supermarket would. [Pg.5]
