Educational research active learning

Both verbal and written information should be included as part of the patient and family education. A written set of instructions about taking medications with dates, times, and doses is often helpful. In addition to reading materials provided by the physician or nurse, the patient and family should be encouraged to read about and research the illness and treatment. This collaboration facilitates active learning and helps ensure compliance by giving the patient and family autonomy and control over the treatment. 

In addition to these systemic approaches, I found two examples of individual experiments that were revised with an eye to the chemical education research. One is Long and coworkers revisiting of the Spectrum of I2 (12). Long et al. have developed a set of activities, based on education research, to facilitate the learning of the concepts critical to understanding this experiment. The approach has been carefully assessed and showed positive results both in student attitudes and understanding. 

Disequilibrium can be very uncomfortable for students in the classroom. Some of the best educators know this and use it as part of their pedagogy to increase active learning. However, those students with the most discomfort with disequilibrium can reject or have adverse reactions to differences in the classroom, particularly if it is not facilitated well. They revert to what is familiar to them, and then we have lost the opportunity for learning to occur. One of the important premises in our research, then, is that we have an opportunity when these moments of disequilibrium are produced, either in the classroom or in the workplace or in other environments, to increase active thinking and learning. 

It was not possible to deal with the learning ability of every single employee instead, a general function was used. One aim of further research activities is to individualize the learning and unlearning rate by employee-specific factors based on empirical studies and results attained in the field of psychology [647] and education science. 

The advancement of RREE in Malaysia really took off with the advent of PhD in engineering education programs. The increasing number of research activities as well as funding and the positive outcomes from the research conducted managed to attract engineering academics to not only participate in the research teams but also properly learn educational research methods and the related grounding theories. Nevertheless, there is still a lot to be done, especially in terms of journal publications.
