Earplug production

In the final phase of the optimization study for earplug production (Sato, 2002) a 3 factorial design was carried out to study the dependencies of the three responses, apparent density (AD), equilibrium force (EF) and retention time (RT), on the fiow rate of the reticulate solution (A) and the quantity of water in the polyol solution (B). Only these two factors were found to be important, after the execution of a 2 " fractional factorial and a blocked 2 factorial design (see case studies in Sections 3A.9 and 4A.8). The other factors were fixed at levels chosen to provide the most desirable apparent densities, EFs and RTs, as well as convenient operational conditions. Table 6A.7 contains the results of the three responses for the three-level factorial experiments, which were performed in duplicate. [Pg.305]

TASCO introduced the patented heat-reactive Tri-Grip earplug in 2008 to the best end-user acceptance rate of any product in 30 years. Its acceptance rate has required TASCO to manufacture five versions of regular and small sizes both available in metai detectable and non-metal detectable styles. PPE may be divided into six main categories according to the part of the body they protect (Berry et al., 2008) eye and face, head, foot and leg, hand and arm, body, and ear. It includes protective clothing, gloves, steel toe boots, respirators, hard hats, helmets, goggles, face shields, earplugs, earmuffs, flotation vests, and harnesses. Key trends in PPE product development can be associated with three main drivers users needs, the request for global systems, and the impact of environmental conditions (Mlynarek et al., 2013). [Pg.497]

Our products don t just look different, they are different. They re user friendly. They re easy to put on and fit. The contoured shape of our respirators doesn t require constant adjustment and they resist collapsing in heat and humidity, saving money. We have patented Moldex technologies like our Dura-Mesh shell that naturally contours to the face, our EZ-ON , the first NIOSH approved N95 single strap adjustable respirator, and a variety of exclusive earplug and earmuff designs and dispensing options. [Pg.78]

All Moldex products and packaging are FVC-Free. Moldex foam earplugs are made of polyurethane and Moldex disposable respirators are made primarily of polypropylene. [Pg.78]

Another innovative solutiai from Moldex that is also a Greener Alternative, Meteors foam earplugs feature a unique contoured sh that follows the curves of the ear canal to create all-day comfort while still providing serious protection. Unlike other brands. Meteors and all other Moldex earplugs are 100 percent PVC Free (including the cord, all product materials and all packaging). Moldex, wwwjnoldex.com, (800) 421-0668.
