The MOSEET has three regions of operation. The cutoff region occurs for V g < Up. In this region, the drain-to-source current is the reverse saturation current of the back-to-back source and drain junctions. This leakage current is small but nonzero and allows charge to leak off capacitors which are isolated by cutoff MOSFETs. Because this is how bits are stored in dynamic memory (DRAM) ceUs, DRAMs must be regularly refreshed to retain their memory.

The mechanical efficiency of a fan is the ratio of the horsepower output to the horsepower input at the fan shaft. The input horsepower to drive the fan consists of the air horsepower, the energy losses in the fan, fluid dynamic losses, shock losses, leakage, disk friction, and bearing losses (all as horsepower), The fan oudet velocity pressure loss has been included in the fluid dynamic losses. 

In a sealing situation, leakage past the elastomer, outside and around its surface, usually due to imperfections in the housing this applies especially in a dynamic arrangement if the sealing stress diminishes due to relaxation, wear, and/or thermal contraction... 

The question of relative rates of seal leakage and permeation (cf. points 1 and 3) has been considered by MERE. For the sealing of HPHT (5000 psi, ca. 345 bar, or 34.5 MPa 100°C) fluids with chevron seal-stack systems used at the bottom of oil wells in intermittently dynamic conditions, high-pressure permeation and seal-leakage tests using the equipment outlined in Section 23.3.1.2 have been conducted it has been shown that methane gas permeation rate was only ca. 1 % of the rate... 

Only dynamic systems should be used. The materials to be applied should have the same properties as given under sampling . The construction should prevent losses of odorants and uncontrolled intake of clean air due leakage.
