The importance of proper instrument and experimental standards to evaluate the machine performance and experimental variables should not be underestimated. We recommend to check for even illumination, PSF, system/laser stability and correct deviations, when necessary, using proper procedures such as fluorescence slides and triple or double-labeled fluorescence beads containing defined amounts of fluorophores. 

Mixing of colors is less easily detected with enzyme methods than with double immunofluorescent labeling where filter systems in the microscope are more effective in segregating the staining intensities of the two labels. Leaflets use high-opacity (80%+EEL) lightweight (40-70 g/m2) coated or uncoated papers. 

The periodic tables in this textbook are "double labeled." Both the old (Roman numeral) and new (1-18) systems are used to label the groups. The label that you use is simply a guide to reading the table the real source of information is in the structure of the table itself. In the course of our metabolic studies with C -labeled polyenoic fatty acids, we also measured the expired radioactive CO2. Mead and his colleagues (6, 13) and Bernhard (14) have shown that hnoleic and linolenic acids are easily oxidized. With use of our unsaturated fatty acid labeled close to the methyl end, the appearance of radioactive COa is a valid test for the complete oxida tive degradation of the acid. In any case, the active CO2 can appear only after the oxidation has passed the whole double bond system.
