In the large tied houses or big independent pubs the installation of the so-called beer drive system, ie, beer suppHed by tankers to relatively big cellar tanks combined with sophisticated beer dispensing systems, has been used successfully. Describe the various types of medication dispensing systems. 

There are a number of drug dispensing systems for the nurse to use to dispense medication after it lias been ordered for the patient. A brief description of three methods is given below. 

A very versatile piece of equipment that is affordable for individual laboratories is the microplate reader. This allows multiple samples to be analyzed at once, commonly in a 96-well format, although 384- and 1536-well formats are available. Typical measurements that can be performed include UV-Vis absorbance, fluorescence, or luminescence, allowing a range of assays to be performed, such as cell growth, enzyme kinetics, enzyme stability, or enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay [60-62]. Functionality can be increased by the use of liquid dispensing systems or automatic plate handling. 

The Chemical Inkjet Printer (ChIP), an inkjet printer-like device which is equipped with a piezoelectric reagent-dispensing system, has been developed by Shimadzu Corporation. The ChIP can dispense picoliter volumes of matrix solution onto a tissue section, which has four printing heads and nozzles that have no contact with the tissue section surface.

When performed by a robot, the different ingredients are placed in different channels/syringes of a dispensing system and dispensed simultaneously under the oil by the action of motorized syringes. All robots have routines whereby they pick up chosen stock solutions and dispense them into a well to which protein is added simultaneously or later on (Chayen, 2006). 

Choose a robotic dispensing system consisting of several channels/syringes in which precipitant, buffer, protein, and additives can be put into different syringes and dispensed simultaneously or in rapid succession. 

Place the gel solution while it is still in liquid form into one of the channels/syringes of the dispensing system in the same way as for the other components of the crystallization mixture. 

Addition of reagents to more than four 384-well plates is greatly expedited by the use of a semi-automated liquid-dispensing system such as the MicroFill Microplate Dispenser (BioTek Winooski, VT).

Redundancy of slurry delivery systems or system components is an emotional and user-specific decision. While all manufacturers strive to make dispense systems and all peripherals as reliable as possible, compromises must be made for cost, space, slurry lifetime, and manufacturing philosophy. In the end, it usually comes down to how much one is willing to pay for 99.99% uptime versus 99% uptime. Some of the common strategies employed include...

Air-entraining admixtures of proven performance should be used with an accurate dispensing system. 

Therefore, the dispenser control panel should be equipped with a timer-relay device to insure that all admixture has been discharged from the conveying hoses or pipes. If the admixture dispenser system is operated manually, the plant operator should be furnished a valve with a detente discharge side to prolong the discharge cycle until it is ascertained that all admixture is in the concrete batch.

Most dispensing systems are custom-made to meet the method of control or degree of automation required for the particular operation. Prior to installation of the dispenser, the system should be analyzed carefully to determine what possible batching errors could occur and, with the help of the admixture supplier, they should be eliminated. Commonly available dispensing systems and controls can be discussed under three main groups - fully automated, semi-automated or manual systems. 

Simple manual dispensing systems designed for low-volume concrete plants depend solely on the care of the concrete plant operator in batching the proper amount of admixture into a calibration tube and discharging it into the batch. These types of dispensing equipment are used in small-scale operations where admixtures are only occasionally used.
