Natural gas, unlike oil, is delivered directly to homes and businesses through local distribution lines. Large distribution lines, called mains, move the gas close to cities. These main lines, along with the much smaller lines to homes and businesses, deliver natural gas under streets in almost every city and town and account for the vast majority of pipeline mileage in the U.S.—1.8 million miles.

The Internet. According to the United Nations International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the number of Internet users across the world met the two billion mark in January 2011. Commercial laundry dryers can not be easily vented to the outside in the same way that home laundry dryers are. Because of this fact, the moist air is passed through a condenser where the water will accumulate. If there is no direct water drain, the water is directed to a holding tank. The water level is monitored using a magnetic float. When the water rises to the full level, the reed sensor is activated and shuts down the dryer.
