Digital signals

Digital Signal Processor board fPSP) it is hosted into the PC and processes in real time the binary sequences stored into the acquisition board FIFO memories. The board processes arrival times and extracts the correlated AT generated by AE events. The PC picks up the data stored into the DSP memories and calculates the position of the AE sources. 

The image reader, which converts the induced latent image in the TP into analog signals and subsequently into a time sequence of digital signals ... 

The data are transmitted from the front end processor to the computer in digital form over an ethemet link. The data consist of ultrasonic data, either raw RF A-scans or data processed by the digital signal processor in the PSP-4. In addition to the ultrasonic data, scanner coordinates are transmitted over the ethemet link. 

Digital signal. A signal that represents information in a computer-compatible form as a sequence of (binary) numbers that can describe discrete samples of an analog signal.

Knowledge of the desired value It is neeessary to know what it is you are trying to eontrol, to what aeeuraey, and over what range of values. This must be expressed in the form of a performanee speeifieation. In the physieal system this information must be eonverted into a form suitable for the eontroller to understand (analogue or digital signal).

Both electronic and microcomputer-based controls require information about the state of the controlled system. Sensors convert different physical variables into an electric signal that is conditioned and typically converted to a digital signal to be used in microcontrollers. The trend in the construction techniques of modern sensors is the use of silicon microstrnctures because of the good performance and the low cost of this type of device. In the energy control scope the main quantities to be measured are the temperature, pressure, flow, light intensity, humidity (RH), and the electric quantities of voltage and current.

Set the number of decimal places displayed to simulate the action of digital signal acquisition 1 would mean the result of a measurement is clipped to the first decimal.
