Developments and Properties of Reinforced Silicone Rubber Nanocomposites

In recent years, polymer nano composites have received considerable attention due to their enhanced mechanical, electrical, thermal, flame retardant and other functional properties compared to the neat polymer [1-5]. Such improvements in properties strongly depends on the nature and properties of filler, dimension, aspect ratio, dispersion of the filler and interfacial interaction between matrix and the filler [6-11], As a result, these polymer nanocomposites find numerous potential applications as high performance materials in the automotive, aerospace and construction fields, and for implant and electronic purposes, etc. [12-17].
