Currently, 92 students have declared themselves as chemistry majors, in either biochemistry, chemistry, or chemistry and dual-degree engineering tracks. The department is composed of 13 full-time faculty and a staff of 3 (2 laboratory technician and coordinators and an administrative assistant). 

ERD wells are technically more difficult to drill and because of the degree of engineering required for each well the term designer well is frequently used. 

Many oil and gas companies do not consider the detailed design and construction of production facilities as part of their core business. This is often the stage at which work is contracted out to engineering firms and the client company will switch manpower resources elsewhere, although some degree of project management is commonly retained. 

The main component of the holder is the specially bended tube which allows the introduction of the whale probe" through a 10 mm hole in the housing ring of the engine. Then the whale probe" is easily positioned to the foot of one of the blades. After the inspection of the first blade root, the engine is rotated several degrees to allow the inspection of the next blade.

The degree of contrast between homogenius concrete and concrete with voids will not decrease linearly with increasing thickness, and the maximum practical thickness of concrete elements which can be studied for small voids using film radiography is of course limited, but sufficient for most civil engineering applications. 

The most common VI improvers are methacrylate polymers and copolymers, acrylate polymers (see Acrylic ester polymers), olefin polymers and copolymers, and styrene—butadiene copolymers. The degree of VI improvement from these materials is a function of the molecular weight distribution of the polymer. VI improvers are used in engine oils, automatic transmission fluids, multipurpose tractor fluids, hydrautic fluids, and gear lubricants. Their use permits the formulation of products that provide satisfactory lubrication over a much wider temperature range than is possible using mineral oils alone.
