Research Project Databases

Research databases (RD). In research databases or better - research project databases - research projects are presented with the aid of datasets. 

Factual databases mainly contain alphanumeric data on chemical compounds. In contrast to bibliographic databases, factual databases directly describe the objects primary data on chemical compounds) and provide the required information on them. Factual databases can be divided into numeric databases, metadatabases, research project databases, and catalogs of chemical compounds. 

Research project databases include information on abstracts and reports categorized by research projects. Such factual databases allow one to search for projects in various fields of science and technology wdth numeric and textual queries. 

Typical research project databases are UFORDAT (Environment Research in Progress) or Federal Research in Progress (FEDRIP).

In the next subsection we will discuss the two external advisory groups for Unit activities. The next subsection will then describe Coordinated Research Projects, the primary method used to fulfil the goals of the Unit. We then give a description of the products available to the fusion research community through the A+M Unit. These include the electronic databases, publications, as well as some computational capabilities. 

Updating and validating such algorithms and their databases are also critical aspects. At this time, the European Cooperation in the Field of Scientific and Technical Research (Project COST B15) had begun an independent evaluation of existing expert systems used in the in silico prediction of ADME properties, with a view of publishing a consensus paper.
