Crosstalk sources

Thus, we have demonstrated, in the form of a diagram, the crosstalk between transverse velocity and a radial velocity measured by red shift. As we shall se in Section XII, the crosstalk between the radial velocity and the apparent transverse velocity is demonstrated by the use of another but similar diagram. By adding those two diagrams together we will finally find a method of evaluating the true velocity of the light source. [Pg.281]

At the same time, the bioanalysis of LOR and DCL in rat, rabbit, mouse, and dog plasma was reported by others [64]. In order to get more rehable toxicology data, the bioanalysis in these four preclinical species is done simultaneously instead of on separate days. The sample pretreatment was SPE in a 96-well plate format, using a Tomtec Quadra hquid handling system and an Empore Cig 96-well extraction disk plate. Fom-channel parallel LC was done with four 100x2-mm-lD Cg colunms (5 pm) and a mobile phase of 85% methanol in 25 mmol/1 aqueous AmOAc (adjusted to pH 3.5). The mobile phase was delivered at a flow-rate of 800 pl/min and split into 200 pl/min over each of the four colunms. A multi-injector system was apphed with four injection needles. A post-column spht was applied to deliver 60 pEmin per column to a four-channel multiplexed ESI source (Ch. 5.5.3). The interspray step time was 50 ms. Positive-ion ESI-MS was performed in SRM mode with a dwell time of 50 ms for each of the four transitions, i.e., LOR, DCL, and their [DJ-ILIS, with 20 ms interchannel delay. The total cycle time was thus 1.24 s. The LOQ was 1 ng/ml for both analytes. QC samples showed precision ranging from 1 to 16% and accuracy from -8.44 to 10.5%. The interspray crosstalk was less than 0.08% at concentrations as high as 1000 ng/ml. [Pg.305]

RF piekup from the exeitation source or crosstalk between the deteetor and the referenee lines eauses systematie timing errors. The result is a modulation of the effeetive CFD threshold and the effective CFD zero cross point. Modulation of the threshold modulates the deteetion efficiency. Modulation of the zero cross point warps the time axis. In either ease the result is a ripple in the recorded curves. [Pg.311]

In a coded aperture camera without a fully-coded FOV or with a random pattern, such as the WXM, coding noise is common throughout the FOV. Coding noise introduces extra crosstalk between two or more point sources, on top of the Poisson noise. However, if there is only one source in the... [Pg.141]

Just as it is immune to EMI from outside sources, fiber produces no electronic emissions and, therefore, is not a concern of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) or European emissions regulations. Crosstalk does not occur in fiber systems, and there are no shared sheath issues as with multipair UTP cables. Because all-dielectric cables can be used, grounding concerns can be eliminated and lightning effects dramatically reduced. Optical fibers are virtually impossible to tap, making it the most secure media type. Most importantly, optical bandwidth cannot be adversely affected by installation conditions. Compare this to the dramatic effects that an installer can have with crosstalk in a copper system. [Pg.980]

Coupling path The conducted or radiated path by which interfering energy gets from a source to a victim. Crosstalk The value expressed in dB as a ratio of coupled voltage on a victim cable to the voltage on a nearby culprit cable. [Pg.1327]

A further interesting use of the focal-conic to homeotropic texture transition is in infrared modulation [272]. Here it was found possible to modulate infrared light at A=8-12 pm with a maximum transmission of 87%, a contrast of 93%, and turn on and off times of 1 ms and 125 ms, respectively. A further window examined was 3-5 pm, and this work suggests that other chiral nematic electrooptic effects could be exploited in the near infrared. In communications technology a 2x2 optical switch for fiber-optics has been developed [273] using a chiral nematic film and two switchable nematic waveplates. It has been demonstrated that this is suitable for LED or laser sources. The device worked at 1.318 pm and had switching times of 40 ms with -26 dB crosstalk between unselected fibers. There will clearly be further advances in this use of the unique optical properites of chiral nematics. [Pg.1384]
