Continuous improvement procurement

On the defensive side, service requirements were promulgated for a real-time detector for nerve agents in the field, shipboard detectors for Royal Navy vessels, prophylactics and therapy for nerve agent poisoning and a new respirator. The procurement cycle for some of these items was relatively quick, but for others, in particular the respirator, the process was one of continuous improvement reflecting advances in science and technology. However, to try to provide a succinct analysis of the first 20 post-war years of chemical weapon development in Britain is difficult mainly because many topics cannot be reported due to the non-disclosure of sensitive documents by the British government. 

The authors research continues with the closer examination of these transition processes over the next few years. Further research will focus on the relations between the pedagogical function of the school environment and experiential learning of organic school meal production. In yet another study, the authors will concentrate on institutional processes at macro level such as the impact of agri-environmental support schemes on public sector procurement of organic food. Through this research it is anticipated that detailed policy recommendations for practical improvement of organic meal schemes will be formulated. 

Since then, a significant set of work has been carried out to implement these improvements. The publication of the standards provided additional motivation and focus to enable the work. The Trust continues to improve its safety management methods, through adopting and managing a strategy which addresses the safety culture of ICT and infuses safety into development, procurement and maintenance of its computer systems.
