Containment options

The updating function for the run database is another editing program that is used to create an entry in the run database for each data collection task in a batch. The run database entry contains optional descriptive information as well as the parameters required to drive the task. The user edits the parameter values to suit his needs for the tasks to be performed. Parameters in the run database are validated before the run entry is made permanent. 

Less costly than conventional containment options... 

You can use the tree in the left pane to narrow the search to the portion of the database in which the part is likely to be located. In the screen capture above, I have selected the 1C portion of the database. I have selected the Contains option because it is usually very hard to pick a part number exactly. Like any search engine, it will take some experience with the engine before you can search for parts efficiently. Click the Go button when you have entered the information above ... 

Closes the Page Layout dialog box and opens the Print dialog box. As well as printing the page layout, this dialog box contains options to select and configure the output device (see section 4.7.4.)...

The supplements appended to several chapters contain optional material for more adventurous students, but can be guiltlessly omitted without loss of continuity. Likewise, the more advanced topics in Chapters 12-16 can be omitted or lightly skimmed. I have purposely limited the number of problems after each chapter and geared them toward conceptual understanding rather than numerical drill. For those desiring a larger selection of problems and worked-out examples, we recommend the companion volume in the Academic Press Complementary Science Series, Fundamentals of Quantum Chemistry by James E. House. 

A job file is a text file containing a number of different configuration files, which are loaded, sequentially into NMR-SIM and the corresponding experiment simulated. As shown in Fig. 4.17, the job file can also contain optional comments. Job files maybe modified by deleting or adding further parameters to the configuration files.

The advantage of using this method is that the original correlation structure is left intact while at the same time reflecting changing market conditions in the results. Disadvantages are that we have to assume linearity in the profit and loss values, which means it cannot be applied to portfolios containing options. 

Table 20.1 describes potential partnership solutions for implementing the strategy. The column Candidate Partnerships contains options for developing the activity jointly with partners. Partnership Type describes ways in which the activity will help Acme become a better partner to its customers. The table uses our characterization system, or partnership taxonomy, from Chapter 19 to identify the type of partnership required to implement the activity. 

Associated service commentary (C) This service typically conveys a single-channel of commentary intended to be optionally decoded along with the main audio service. This commentary channel differs from a dialogue service, in that it contains optional instead of necessary program content. The C service also may be provided as a complete mix of aU program elements, in which case it may use any number of channels (up to 5.1).
