Containers color coding

Use puncture-resistant, leak-proof containers, color-coded red or labeled depending on the standard, to discard contaminated items such as needles, broken glass, scalpels, or other it s that could cause a cut or puncture wound. 

Use unique containers (e.g., colors, shapes) where appropriate Identify all process and utility lines (written material name and color coded) Indicate direction of flow, where applicable... 

The black cylinder had contained oxygen. All persons responsible for handling cylinders, particularly persons in charge of air masks, should be familiar with the color codes for cylinders. 

Hydrochloric acid. Strong acids are used frequently for the purpose of sample dissolution when water will not do the job. One of these is hydrochloric acid, HC1. Concentrated HC1 is actually a saturated solution of hydrogen chloride gas, fumes of which are very pungent. Such a solution is 38.0% HC1 (about 12 M). Hydrochloric acid solutions are used especially for dissolving metals, metal oxides, and carbonates not ordinarily dissolved by water. Examples are iron and zinc metals, iron oxide ore, and the metal carbonates of which the scales in boilers and humidifiers are composed. Being a strong acid, it is very toxic and must be handled with care. It is stored in a blue color-coded container.

The software has a user-friendly interface that informs the user on the procedural steps that must be performed (e.g., add 20 pL of Vial A to Vial B, mix and transfer on the sensor surface ) allowing the realization of the measurement even for non-trained personnel. All the internal controls result in a pass or fail message as well as all the incubation times are controlled by the software. At the end of every protocol the user receives a screen message that contains a self-explanative result via a color code according to a traffic fight scheme .

Please Note Chemicals with labels that are colored and striped may react with other chemicals in the same hazard class. See MSDS for more information. Chemical containers which are not color coded should have hazard information on the label. Read the label carefully and store accordingly. 

One reason for the popularity of peristaltic pumps is their versatility they can be programmed for low or high speeds. Tubes vary in diameter to cover a variety of flow rates. The various sizes of tubes are color coded for diameter and output rate. Another advantage is ease of cleaning After a run, just throw out the inexpensive tubes and put in clean ones. The tubes can also be capped and preserved with the container of color to be used the next time it is run. Peristaltic pumps are self-priming, and a cycle is included in the programming of the pump to fill the output tube up to the extruder or molder quickly.
