CONNECT command

For connection handling with explicit switching (see Section 5.1.2), a domain for the inputs at the connection-control access point must be chosen. The following is a provisional sketch. For simplicity, the existence of connections is modeled, and not their establishment and release. In each round, the input at the connection-control access point designates the connections that exist between this round and the next one, i.e., it determines where messages sent in this round arrive in the next round. It is even sufficient if this input designates which access points are correctly connected for which type of transaction. The exact connections derived from these data (by the switch) are structural details. Hence a complete input event can be described in a variable connections, which contains a set of connection commands of the form... [Pg.72]

The CONNECT command enables inclusion of non-hydrogen atoms at certain positions. This command is suited for a Closed Substructure Search (Sect. 7.2.1). [Pg.173]

Expanding a structure for a CSS search requires the combination of NSP command and CONNECT command NSP alone is not sufficient. [Pg.174]

After return to the Commander window, the reaction retrieval may be executed separately 629 Dicls-Aldcr reactions between aliphatic dienes and cyclic dicno-pliiles are found. This partial result can be narrowed down by restricting tlie reaction conditions by means of the fact editor, The search field codes for the yield and the temperature can be found to be RX.NYD and RX.T, respectively, either by browsing the database structure or by applying the Find option, as described in the first example. To ensure that the retrieved reaction conditions belong to the same experiment, both search terms must be connected by means of the PROXIMITY operator. Before the retrieval is started, the option "Refine results in... [Pg.255]

A CT is provided in series with the spark gap to sense its operation during a line fault. As soon as there is arcing, it provides an instantaneous command to a short-circuit relay. The relay, in turn, closes the bypass breaker, within 3 to 5 cycles, leaving only the natural line impedance in the faulty eircuit. Now = 0, which limits the fault current to the natural level of the system, as if the capacitors were not connected. The shorting device is restored to its original status as soon as the fault condition is cleared. The device must be capable of interrupting the line fault... [Pg.836]

File Transfer Protocol. A protocol used to move files over the Internet. Typically, you use a command line command, browser capability, or program on your computer called an FTP client to connect to an FTP server found on the Internet. Once connected to the FTP server, you can move files back and forth between your computer and the FTP server. SFTP, Secure FTP, is a more secure protocol for moving data over the Internet in which both your login information and data are encrypted during communications. [Pg.310]

A microcontroller board for sensor read-out was developed in collaboration with AppliedSensor (Reutlingen, Germany). This board provides the power supply and the necessary reference voltages and currents to the sensor chip. The sensor chip is mounted on a socket and connected to the microcontroller. The microcontroller provides a set of commands for programming and reading the on-chip registers, controller parameters and sensor values. The microcontroller also manages the data transfer between the f C interface of the microchip and a serial RS-232 interface for external read-out via a PC. The data stream is continuously read out in the measurement mode. Each data set contains the temperature of the microhotplate, the chip... [Pg.71]

In connection with his work on the minor constituents of meteorites, the present writer had opportxmity for examining numerous occurrences of the mineral, and it was decided if possible to determine its nature or at least to carry a knowledge of its properties one step farther. Unable by the means at his command to fully satisfy himself regarding all its... [Pg.1]

Connect the field telephone to an available wire. Request mines and additional rations, and use the telephone to relay to the squad leader the events that have just occurred. If one of the men no longer responds to commands or seems on the verge of jeopardizing the mission, request his medical evacuation as soon as he is out of the range of enemy fire. [Pg.208]

By October 1949 the Air Staff was more ambitious, arguing that the Allies only hope was to bring about a collapse of the Russian warmaking machine by means of a strategic air offensive, and that Britain s contribution would ensure success. As Simon Ball has noted, the Air Staff s reasoning was connected to awareness of the vulnerability of Bomber Command in the defence programme. About the same time... [Pg.264]

These features are compatible with a role in the feedforward integration of eye movement commands (and perhaps other brain stem motor outputs such as gait) but also in the feedback control of thalamocortical sector activation. No such function has previously been suggested, but the intimate connection of eye movement variability, volitional change (frontal eye field), and sensorimotor facilitation and blocking warrants serious consideration of this hypothesis. [Pg.91]
