Cone screen

Typical uses Continuous deliquoring of suspensions containing relatively free filtering solids. [Pg.20]

Typical particle size and feed concentration range 80-10000 pm (slip discharge), 100-10000 pm (vibratory, oscillatory or tumbling), 60-5000 pm (worm screen) and 10-40% w/w. [Pg.21]

Worm screen Also known as the conveyor discharge or screen scroll centrifuge, the worm screen centrifuge causes solids to move along the cone via an internal screw conveyor. The conveyor rotates at a differential speed to the cone screen and centrifugal forces below 2600g facilitate reasonable throughputs. The presence of the conveyor can sometimes lead to both [Pg.22]

Rinse is shown only in the basket centiifuge because linse efficiency in the cone screen is faidy low compared to the basket. The latter may be selected for the apphcafion if good rinsing is needed, and the conveyor-discharge conical screen centrifuge selected if no rinsing is necessary. [Pg.413]

The research was conducted in a cold-flow combustor test rig simulating the exact geometry of the hot combustion rig. This test rig (Fig. 10.1) is set up vertically. The air is introduced at the bottom and is conditioned through an air conditioning section which is composed of perforated cone, screens, and honeycomb is settled in 3.8-inch diameter circular chamber is fed into TARS and then exits to the atmosphere. The pressure drop across TARS is 4%. The TARS features three separate airflow passages and independent liquid fuel supply lines that can be controlled separately (Fig. 10.2). [Pg.98]

The cone screen centrifuges shown schematically in Figure 1.18 all comprise a conical perforated metal screen across which wet solids slide after filtration from relatively high concentration suspension. During their passage, the solids, in the form of a cake, can be washed by sprays and/or deliquored prior to discharge at the wider end of the cone. The four variants of cone... [Pg.21]

Cone-screen Test. A works test for the fineness of milled enamels. A standard volume of enamel slip is washed through a conical sieve the amount of oversize residue is read from a graduated scale along one side of the sieve. [Pg.71]

Figure 7-10 presents a cross-sectional drawing of the Metso Minerals cone crusher and Figure 7-11 shows gradation curves of the output from HP cone crushers. Metso Minerals manufactures complete portable cone/screen plants (Figure 7-12) that are relocated from one area of the mine to another. [Pg.362]
