Color rinses formulation

Semipermanent dyes refer to formulations that dye the hair without the use of hydrogen peroxide to a color that only persists for 4-6 shampooings. The objective of temporary hair dyes or color rinses is to provide color that is removed after the first shampooing process. 

Hair hygiene and care formulations including shampoos, leave-on and rinse-off conditioners, dressing and coloring lotions, permanent waves, and hair straighteners are the cosmetic products for which the use of protein derivatives has been constantly most successful and frequent. 

An oral dental rinse generally consists of water, alcohol, a humectant, an emulsifier, flavor, color, and an active agent. Water is the primary vehicle. The alcohol provides bite and is also a formulation aid. The humectant improves the feel in the mouth and also prevents locking of the cap to the container between uses glycerin or noncrystallizing sorbitol may be satisfactory.
