This R and D must also be placed within the context of the international collaboration Specific agreements exist between Europe and Japan, between France and Russia (CEA-MINATOM agreement in which Germany and the United Kingdom are "Associated Partners"), between France and China, and between CEA and General Electric. 

Of course, there needs to be a close collaboration with suppliers. However, as collaboration is based on long-term agreements it would have a negative impact on flexibility, because reconfiguring the supply chain is much more difficult when collaboration specifications are binding. 

Section IB presents results that the analytic properties of the wave function as a function of time t imply and summarizes previous publications of the authors and of their collaborators [29-38]. While the earlier quote from Wigner has prepared us to expect some general insight from the analytic behavior of the wave function, the equations in this secbon yield the specific result that, due to the analytic properties of the logarithm of wave function amplitudes, certain forms of phase changes lead immediately to the logical necessity of enlarging... 

Carbon and Graphite Fibers. Carbon and graphite fibers (qv) are valued for their unique combination of extremely high modulus and very low specific gravity. Acrylic precursors are made by standard spinning conditions, except that increased stretch orientation is required to produce precursors with higher tenacity and modulus. The first commercially feasible process was developed at the Royal Aircraft Fstablishment (RAF) in collaboration with the acrylic fiber producer, Courtaulds (88). In the RAF process the acrylic precursor is converted to carbon fiber in a two-step process. The use of PAN as a carbon fiber precursor has been reviewed (89,90). 

An example of a biphasic, Ni-catalyzed co-dimerization in ionic liquids with weakly coordinating anions has been described by the author s group in collaboration with Leitner et al. [12]. The hydrovinylation of styrene in the biphasic ionic liq-uid/compressed CO2 system with a chiral Ni-catalyst was investigated. Since it was found that this reaction benefits particularly from this unusual biphasic solvent system, more details about this specific application are given in Section 5.4. 

Most of the time the program is organized by a person who is in full-time employment in the company in question, but external consultants can also successfully be used to implement a scheme. This is t)q)ically done in close collaboration with a specific company-internal employee (see, for example, Allianz Insurance). 

A chemistry scheme of work based on the syllabus requirements was developed for the year in collaboration with all teachers who would be teaching the subject. The content to be covered in each of the topics was detailed on a weekly basis. Each of the topics had to be covered within a stipulated time frame followed by a cotmnon topic test that was to be administered on a particular week. In general, students were only required to learn and remember the chemical equations as well as the ionic equations, where relevant, with no specific emphasis on understanding the triplet relationship. 

Although, the project group worked in close collaboration throughout, each of the groups of partners had specific role in the project ... 

Such collaborations as represented in the project team have been described by Watts (1985) as important for the snccess of action research. He pointed ont that it is important for teachers to help each other by working collaboratively and that working with external colleagues supports them in their professional development. Our collaborative action research experience snpport these statements, namely it seems that the success of the investigation is to a great proportion due to the effective collaboration between the involved partners (the specific roles of partners are described earlier). 

In collaboration with PA Baeuerle (Freibuig), active NF-xB has been detected immunohistochemically in rheumatoid synovium by using a polyclonal antibody directed against the Rel-A NLS subunit of NF-xB (M.L. Kus, unpublished observations). The antibody employed in these studies was considered to be activity specific because IxB sterically masks the NLS sequence. NF-xB activation by ROM in the rheumatoid joint may orchestrate some of the chronic inflammatory processes characteristic of this disease. It is plausible that lL-1 and TNFo generated in the inflamed synovium as well as the up-regulated expression of adhesion molecules may be under the influence of NF-xB.
