Bromazepam

Abuse of the other benzodiazepines is typified by bromazepam abuse, which is in third place in the abuse statistics. It is consumed in similarly increasing amounts by all patient groups (drug, medicament, and alcohol abusers). Although a few individual dose rates reach 100 mg, most users do not attract attention or are detected too late because of low dose rates. Drug users also combine the substance with other benzodiazepines. [Pg.45]

N-ol3romobenzyl-N,N-dimethylamina (lOOg) and ethyl p-toluenesulfonate (94 g) were mixed and warmed to 50°-60°C after standing for either (s) a minimum of 96 hours at 15°-20°C or (/ ) a minimum of 18 hours at 50°-60°C and cooling to room temperature, a hard, crystalline mass was formed. Recrystallization of this product from acetone (2.0 ml/g of crude solid), followed by filtration and drying to 60°C gave N-o-bromobenzyl-N-ethyl-N, N-dimethylammo-nlum p-toluenesulfonate as a white, crystalline solid, MP 97°-99°C. For this procedure it was necessary that the reactants were substantially colorless and of a high purity. [Pg.181]

145 kg of 2-(2-amino-5-bromobenzoyl)-pyridine, was dissolved in 2.0 liters of glacial acetic acid. The resultant solution was placed in a 3 liter, 3-necked, round bottom flask fitted with a stirrer, thermometer and dropping funnel. The system was protected by a drying tube filled with anhydrous calcium chloride. To the solution, with stirring at room temperature, were carefully added 46.7 ml of bromoacetyl bromide. After the addition was [Pg.182]

Benzodiazepines, ie, the hiU BZR agonists, are prescribed for anxiety, insomnia, sedation, myorelaxation, and as anticonvulsants (97). Those benzodiazepines most commonly prescribed for the treatment of anxiety disorders are lorazepam (19), alprazolam (20), diazepam (21), bromazepam (22), chlorazepate (23), and oxazepam (24). These dmgs together represent about 70% of total... [Pg.224]

Note Separate potassium iodide and starch solutions can also be used successively [2], The detection limits for bromureides are 40 to 200 ng substance per chromatogram zone [7, 10]. Bromopride, bromazepam, bromhexine and bromocriptine do not reac [10]. [Pg.195]

Bromisoval (h/ f 15-20) yielded dark brown chromatogram zones on a light brown background. Bromopride, bromazepam, bromhexine, bromocriptine, caryophyllene epoxide and rose oxide did not react. [Pg.195]

Other applications include bioequivalent measurements of bromazepam, an anticonvulsant, in human plasma. The lower limit of quantitation (LLOQ) was 1 ng/mL (Gongalves et al. 2005). Kuhlenbeck et al. (2005) studied antitussive agents (dextromethorphan, dextrophan, and guaifenesin) in human plasma LLOQ values were 0.05, 0.05, and 5 ng/mL, respectively. Other compounds studied were nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors, zidovudine (AZT) and lamivudine (3TC) (de Cassia et al. 2004) and stavudine (Raices et al. 2003) in human plasma, and paclitaxel, an anticancer agent, in human serum (Schellen et al. 2000). [Pg.286]
